Prayer purifies as well as elevates the mind. Prayer keeps the mind in tune with God and eliminates the fear of death from the mind. Prayer can reach a realm where reason dare not enter. Prayer frees the mind from the fear of death. It makes the mind capable of feeling the divine presence everywhere.

The spiritual power of “Shankh” or conch shell
Try holding a conch (pronounced “konk”) shell against your ear. You will hear the sound of the ocean humming gently. It is the natural vibration of cosmic energy of the earth that gets magnified on entering a conch shell. That is why a conch shell is often blown at the beginning of or during any Hindu religious ceremony, rituals, festivals and/or sacred rites to get rid of negative energy or evil spirits in the space and to signify the auspiciousness of the occasion.
A scientist from India who has a collection of over a 1000 conch shells says that if they are all placed in a particular pattern and blown in sync, they will create energy powerful enough to gradually heal the ozone layer.
